1. What is APEX Event Network?
APEX Event Network is a nonprofit organization created to support accomplished event industry professionals through meaningful pathways to work, peer mentoring, connection, and relevant training and education.
2. Who is APEX designed for?
APEX is designed for event professionals with 18+ years of experience who want to remain active, relevant, and visible in the event and meeting industries, and want to make the most of their later-stage career. Regardless of the level you have achieved at a company or employment status, APEX offers services, events, and connections that are relevant for every member.
3. Do I need to have a full-time job to join?
No. APEX is valuable for professionals exploring many different next steps in their career, including full-time roles, consulting work, contract opportunities, mentoring, collaboration, and continued industry involvement.
4. What kinds of support and connections does APEX offer?
APEX offers peer connection, mentoring, education programming, career transition support, events, and pathways to full-time, consulting, contract, and project-based opportunities.
5. How do I become a member?
Prospective members can submit a member application through the website. Applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the mission and focus of the APEX community and you will be notified of acceptance.
6. Is there a fee to join?
Initial membership is $79 for 15 months of membership, starting on October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027. Renewal rates for 12 months have not been determined yet, but will be posted on the website when confirmed.
7. What programs are currently offered?
Current offerings include career transition coaching by Judy Berman, and events designed to help our members with career development, career transitioning, starting a business, and other topics. APEX will be adding more services so be sure to check back on the website often and follow LinkedIn for updates.
5. Why does APEX matter right now?
APEX addresses a real gap in the industry by helping seasoned professionals remain valuable contributors at a time when many organizations risk losing critical leadership experience and institutional knowledge as they lay off experienced professionals and replace with junior staff.

No. APEX is also about connection, visibility, ongoing learning and skill building, mentoring, and creating new ways for experienced professionals to continue shaping the future of the industry.
